Pastaaaaaaa~!

Saturday January 5th, 2013

Trip to Bali day. While there it followed the usual pattern of workout, shower and nap. You know, I feel like I am losing weight but the extent of that is unknown if even present at all. I am so determined to lose the butt and fit back into my pants. So far I’ve been very faithful to performing little exercises at home everyday and watching what food is in taken. After a couple months of this and its progress is what I really look forward to seeing. :)

Dinner was a drive to Neihu for a special cafeteria called ‘food republic.’ This food court had many different foods, mainly Asian but containing all sorts from Japanese to Korean. My selection settled upon the one place with some Italian flare. Yes, I still crave pasta. It won’t seem to be satisfied until I get chicken alfredo, which conveniently I can’t find. Joy. This dish was still delicious nonetheless.

A pasta creation submerged under a layer of cheese with the creamy sauce hiding underneath. Shrimp and bits of mushrooms were thrown in the mix. The pasta type wasn’t noodles but the individual hollow pieces, which I like but can’t easily find in Taiwan. Sides included a small salad, scrumptious cream of corn soup and a glass of iced tea. Twas a meal well worth the wait!

After all the family finished their personal meal, we shortly browsed a nearby mall, the same one that had the IMAX theater inside. We didn’t stay long because host grandmother wanted to go home. But there is a mini story to be told. Host mother just glanced for a moment at a jacket on display. The saleslady nearby saw this and leapt into action. Dang this chica was persistent! She did the whole “This jacket is beautiful” sales routine and offered for host mother to try it on. She declined the offer. The saleslady struck again with the offer but the same result came about. Over seven times this pattern repeated in a heated battle between the two women until my host mother gave up and just tried it on. Did she buy it? No. Oh snap the salesperson’s face was not happy. Seeing that debacle scared me out of even thinking about looking at clothes. XD

The night ended without much else. Brittany left for Australia today. I’m sad about that. She said she’s coming back to Taiwan with her real family in the summer but unfortunately I will have left for American before that. I hope to see her again.

Until next time, nighty night.
