It’s official. I’m sick. Fooie! Fooie! Foo! This sounds like
a job for…dun dun DUN…orange juice! So a bottle was purchased in the morning.
;) Vitamin C to the rescue!
A cello was spotted on the subway by my eyes. …*makes grabby
hands* 我要!
(I want!) Yo quierooooooo-ho-ho-hoooo. *sniff* I have tears…mental tears…
Toothbrush love
again today. Bringing dental hygiene to school was a wonderful lifestyle change
decision. *high fives myself* I’ve found Cologate and one store with Aquafresh
but I can’t find my beloved Crest brand with the minty blast flavor and Whitening
feature. Sadness. Therefore I resort to Cologate total as that’s the only
recognizable English toothpaste in a small tube. Plaque protection, whoo!
Holy ma-cha-cha
waking up from naptime was intense! The only thing awake was my head.
Eeeeeeeverything else was dead asleep. All of my arms and all of my legs were
in the extreme back corner of la-la-land and not wanting to leave that spot. It
took near to ten minutes to get the feeling to return to those areas, during
that whole time I kept thinking ‘Whhhhhhhhy meeeeee?!’ It is NOT refreshing to
be flopping around your arms and legs painfully trying to gain control of them
again right after a peaceful nap. Seriously, why does my body keep doing that?!
Another Taiwanese snack given to me by some classmates. Now this was like an Asian rice krispy bar with nuts inside and less sugary. Interesting huh? Apparently it's not common and kinda hard to find but it was pretty good. Nice discovery. :)
Outside on campus I
hear shouting and hollering up the wazoo deriving from a group of high school
guys. Not comprehending what they were saying I just continued walking past
them to get to class. One of the dudes yells my Chinese name (文靜) in greeting, which I
respond back with “你好” (Hello). Curiousity had me ask “Why are
you shouting?!” (The exclamation mark comes from needing to raise my voice over
theirs to be heard XD) The answer I got was what I heard as, “文靜很漂亮!” That was echoed
through the crowd of guys causing me to fight back an emerging blush. Can you
blame me? A bunch of Asians guys (not bad looking Asian guys) just yelled that
I am pretty. You try and not be slightly flustered by that! (And by that I mean
my female readers. :P)
I’m always on the
lookout for good deeds to do, showing my Texas way. So I was very glad when two
recent ones appeared. One was several days ago when a man at the store dropped
an item he was going to purchase but didn’t notice. Little miss Andrea to the
rescue! The item was no longer on the floor but instead within the hands of its
owner. Mission accomplished!
Today when walking
past the post office, I spotted a lady veering into the entrance when she
dropped a letter from the stack in her hands but didn’t notice. Fear not
citizens for I am here! Picking up the letter and repeatedly calling out “小姐” (Miss!) to get her
attention since she was walking away. Soon the parchment was returned. Another
mission complete! Apparently my good deeds are derived from picking up and
returning things their owner forgot. Well it’s something at least!
C'here is dinner. The far right bottom dish are like long Asian veggie sprouts. These are sooooo great! I think I had these before with my temporary host family but with a little egg thrown in. Really good stuff and a particular vegetable. The black cluster is a seaweed of some type. Sausage and hamburger in the back. Cucumber slices. Chicken. Soup. Tada!
Working on a Rotary
movie project was the rest of my night. Then sleep. Then Taffy done. Bye-Bye!
